Register on HTX with referral code cpdiscount for a 10% rebate on the trading fees you pay, plus the two-track Rewards Hub welcome bonus that HTX runs for new accounts.
cpdiscount Carried by the invite link above. HTX gives no way to attach a referrer once the account exists, so the code must be in the invite field at registration.
Coinperps may earn a commission from partner links, at no extra cost to you. Offer terms are set by HTX and can change. See how we test.
Open HTX through the invite link so cpdiscount lands in the invite field before the account is created.
Complete the small qualifying actions, typically a first deposit and a first spot trade at low minimums, to unlock the welcome track.
Check the Rewards Hub after each action. Bonuses and vouchers carry individual expiry dates and are not credited as cash.
The HTX referral code cpdiscount gives new accounts a 10% rebate on trading fees. It must be entered in the invite field during registration, as HTX cannot attach a referrer after an account has been created. Registering this way also unlocks the task-based welcome rewards available through HTX's Rewards Hub.
Your rebate is based on the fees paid across spot and futures markets, so the amount increases with trading activity. Zero-fee promotional pairs do not generate a rebate. Fees covered by cashback vouchers or futures trial bonuses are also excluded.
HTX differs from the exchanges ranked above it on Coinperps. Formerly known as Huobi, the platform has operated for thirteen years and offers headline leverage of up to 200x alongside a broad derivatives range. Its regulatory position weakened sharply this year, however, after the United Kingdom and European Union sanctioned its operating entity. Our HTX review examines the full platform.

Registration takes only a few minutes. Entering the referral code is the one step that cannot be corrected afterwards.
You do not need to claim the 10% fee rebate. It is linked to the account during registration and applies from the first fee-bearing order.

HTX charges maker and taker fees on spot and derivatives trades. Rates are determined by a Prime membership ladder that begins at Prime 0 and runs through eleven levels. The complete schedule is available on the official fee page. Most new accounts start with the rates shown below.
Market | Maker | Taker | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
Spot | 0.20% | 0.20% | Same rate both sides at Prime 0 |
USDT-margined perpetuals | 0.02% | 0.06% | The contracts most Coinperps readers trade |
Coin-margined contracts | 0.02% | 0.05% | Inverse perpetuals and delivery futures |
Prime 1 spot | 0.16% | 0.17% | First reduced tier |
Prime 1 USDT-margined perpetuals | 0.018% | 0.055% | Reached through 30-day volume or account balance |
Accounts move through the Prime levels based on 30-day spot or futures volume, HTX token holdings, or the total balance held across spot, futures and earn accounts. This means a large balance can raise an account by one tier even without active trading.
Paying fees with HTX token or TRX has historically reduced spot and margin costs, with a smaller discount available on futures fees. These savings stack with the applicable Prime rate. The 10% referral rebate is then calculated on the remaining fee.
For USDT-margined perpetuals, HTX's entry-level taker fee is three times its maker fee. Traders can therefore save considerably more by placing limit orders that remain on the order book than they would on exchanges with flatter pricing. Our maker versus taker guide explains how the two order types differ. The VIP programme comparison compares HTX's Prime ladder with rival tier systems.

These examples calculate the rebate at HTX's Prime 0 rates and assume that every trade incurred a fee.
Even with the rebate, HTX is not the cheapest exchange for trading. Readers focused primarily on cost can find lower rates in our lowest fee perpetual exchanges ranking. HTX is more relevant to traders seeking its coin-margined contracts, delivery futures or TradFi perpetuals who would otherwise pay the standard rate.

New-user rewards are divided into two tracks. Both must be claimed through the Rewards Hub and are subject to HTX's published welcome bonus rules.
Track | What it asks for | What it pays | Deadline |
|---|---|---|---|
Welcome tasks | Sign up, verify, make a first deposit, place a first spot trade and a first futures trade at low minimums | Vouchers, small USDT credits and futures trial bonus, released task by task | Fixed window from registration, commonly 30 days |
Limited-time challenges | Larger cumulative spot or futures volume targets and a first futures deposit of a set size | Higher-value trial bonus and vouchers | Available only within 30 days of sign-up |
The advertised maximum changes with each active campaign. HTX's referral programme rules describe a Welcome Bonus Pack worth up to 1,200 USDT for users who register through an affiliate link. Mystery Boxes advertised at up to 1,500 USDT are reserved for people invited by ordinary account holders. Any headline amount should be treated as a maximum that requires completion of every eligible task.
Rewards are issued as vouchers and trial bonuses rather than withdrawable cash. According to the futures trial bonus rules, trial credit can cover fees, funding costs and position losses on USDT-margined contracts. It cannot be withdrawn from the futures account. Transferring your own funds out before the credit has been used causes the remaining bonus to be forfeited.
Trading volume funded by a trial bonus does not count toward cumulative volume tasks. Completing those challenges therefore requires real capital.

HTX's availability now depends heavily on location. On 26 May, the UK designated its operating company, Huobi Global S.A., under the Russia sanctions regime. The sanctions notice cites suspected financial services provided to Garantex Europe OU and networks supporting Russia's financial sector. The designation imposed an asset freeze and barred UK financial firms from dealing with the company.
The decision followed the Financial Conduct Authority's High Court action against HTX over illegal promotions to UK consumers, its first such case against a crypto exchange.
On 23 July, the EU included HTX among fourteen crypto providers in its 21st sanctions package. A transaction ban took effect on 23 August, preventing EU persons and companies from dealing with the exchange directly or indirectly. Unlike the UK measure, it does not impose an asset freeze. HTX had already left the EU at the 1 July MiCA deadline because it lacked a crypto-asset service provider licence. Our MiCA-licensed exchanges guide covers available alternatives.
Binance also stopped processing transfers involving HTX and ten other listed platforms from 23 August, while other exchanges increased screening of HTX-linked addresses. Adviser Justin Sun said Binance's restriction covered only UK and EU users and that settlement talks were underway. Since Binance's notice gave no geographic limit, transfers between the exchanges may still face compliance holds.
HTX's user agreement already excludes the United States, mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada, Japan and other jurisdictions. Perpetuals are restricted separately in markets including Taiwan and New Zealand, while referral terms differ for several excluded or sanctioned countries. See our HTX restricted countries guide for the full list.
UK and EU users cannot use the code. Eligible traders elsewhere should consider the counterparty risk created by both sanctions listings before depositing funds.

HTX can connect a new account to a referrer through three different programmes. The benefits depend on the type of code entered during registration.
Programme | Who the referrer is | What the referrer earns | What the new user gets |
|---|---|---|---|
Standard referral | Any HTX account holder | 30% of the invitee's trading fees, paid indefinitely | Mystery Boxes advertised at up to 1,500 USDT plus a Welcome Bonus Pack up to 1,200 USDT |
HTX Affiliate | Approved partners meeting volume and user targets | Up to 60% of the invitee's trading fees, paid indefinitely | Welcome Bonus Pack up to 1,200 USDT plus occasional exclusive gifts |
Coinperps partner code | Coinperps, under HTX's partner terms | Commission on referred trading fees | 10% of trading fees rebated, plus the Rewards Hub welcome tracks |
An account cannot combine standard inviter benefits with affiliate benefits under HTX's rules. The selection is fixed at registration.
Referral commissions are paid in the same asset used by the invitee to cover fees, whether that is USDT, HTX token or TRX. Re-registered accounts are treated as invalid invitees and do not generate commission.
After creating an account, you can invite other users under the standard programme and receive 30% of their trading fees. HTX also runs periodic leaderboard events with additional trial bonuses and prize pools. Our referral codes hub compares partner offers across all covered exchanges, including Bybit, OKX and MEXC, where the rebate is 15%.
Anyone already planning to open an HTX account has no disadvantage in using the code. The permanent 10% rebate applies to every fee-bearing trade, while the partner code does not affect access to the Rewards Hub tracks. No other registration route gives the new user a larger direct benefit.
Whether HTX itself belongs on your shortlist requires more consideration. The exchange has a long operating history and still supports coin-margined and delivery contracts. Its expanding TradFi perpetual range is covered in our best TradFi perpetual exchanges roundup. HTX has also published proof of reserves for 45 consecutive months.
The drawbacks are substantial. Its base taker fee exceeds those charged by leading venues, while order books are thinner than those at Binance, Bybit and OKX. Governance rests with an adviser rather than a disclosed executive, and the exchange received sanctions listings in two Western jurisdictions during the same summer.
Coinperps ranks HTX 17th among the perpetual exchanges it scores, and the rebate does not change that position. If HTX is permitted in your jurisdiction and you need its specific products, cpdiscount is the appropriate code to use when registering.
For most other traders, the higher rebates and cleaner regulatory standing available through Bybit or OKX provide a stronger starting point. Our ranking methodology explains how these trade-offs are assessed.
